Six UMW Student-Athletes Named to VaSID Academic All-State SquadJune 18, 2013The Virginia Sports Information Directors announced its Academic All-State team on Tuesday and a total of 221 student-athletes, representing 37 schools in the state were recognized. The University of Mary Washington was represented by Will Apperson, Liz Green, Claire Harrington, David Heller, Karissa Herrick, and Alex Ritter.

UMW Men's tennis Ranks 28th in Final ITA Poll; Carey Ranked 20th in Singles to Gain All-America HonorsJune 11, 2013The University of Mary Washington men's tennis team finished the 2012-13 season ranked 28th in the nation, as well as sixth in the Atlantic-South region, as announced by the ITA on Monday. Sophomore Tyler Carey ranked 20th in the nation in singles, gaining All-America kudos.
