#23 UMW Men's Tennis Falls at #16 Pomona-Pitzer, 5-4

In a marathon five hour match that saw two third set finishes, the 23rd ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision at 16th ranked Pomona-Pitzer Colleges on Thursday in Los Angeles. The Eagles fall to 6-5 on the season.

After taking a 2-1 in doubles with wins at one and three, the Eagles won at one with Tyler Carey and at five with David Lunding-Johansson, but were unable to gain the decisive fifth point, as junior Alex Blakhin at two and senior Will Apperson at six were able to advance to third sets, but both were edged in the deciding set.

The Eagles will visit nationally ranked University of Redlands on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
