    Senior outfielder Brandee Adams led four University of Mary Washington softball players on the 2013 All-Capital Athletic Conference teams, released today. Senior Kerry Busby, junior Bireet Chitty, and sophomore Hannah Otterman were named to the second team.

    Junior Hannah Williams provided an RBI double in the first inning, and freshman Stefannie Asselanis drove in the game winner in the fifth with a pinch hit single in her first collegiate at bat to lift the University of Mary Washington softball team to a 2-1 win over visiting Messiah College on Wednesday at the Battleground. The second game was stopped after four innings.
