UMW Names Matt Troy as Head Volleyball Coach
December 18, 2012The University of Mary Washington has hired Matt Troy as its new head volleyball coach, according to Athletic Director Ken Tyler. Troy has been the head coach at Johns Hopkins University for the past three years, leading the Blue Jays to a 77-21 overall record with two NCAA Tournament appearances.

The Eagles will advance to the CAC Semifinals on Friday night at Salisbury University.

UMW Athletics to Split Volleyball and Softball Head Coaching Positions; Conway to Remain as Softball Coach
October 18, 2012University of Mary Washington Director of Athletics Ken Tyler announced today that the combined position of head volleyball coach/head softball coach will be split into two positions. Head Coach Dee Conway, who has served admirably in both capacities for 26 years, will remain as head softball coach and will complete her final season as head volleyball coach at the conclusion of this season. A national search for a new head volleyball coach will be launched shortly.

Each set found neither team winning by no more than three points until the Bison pulled away in the fifth and final set to take the victory 23-25, 27-25, 22-25, 26-24, 15-10.
