UMW Volleyball Sweeps Eastern Mennonite in Regular Season Finale

The University of Mary Washington volleyball team closed the regular season with a 3-0 victory at Eastern Mennonite University on Saturday to improve to 11-12 on the season. Set scores were 25-21, 25-17, 26-24.

The Eagles were led by sophomore Kayla Crawford's eight kills, with senior Karissa Herrick and junior Kaitlynn Wickersham each adding six. Freshmen Maggie Parrish had 16 assists and freshman Courtney Guengerich added 13 for the Eagles. Parrish also posted four aces.

Christine Tran had 14 digs and Parrish 10 for the Eagles, with Herrick adding six block assists.

The Eagles will return to action on Tuesday night when they host Frostburg State University at 7:00 p.m. in the first round of the Capital Athletic Conference tournament.
