UMW's Claire Harrington Named First Team Capital One Academic All-American in Track and Field
June 23, 2015University of Mary Washington recent graduate Claire Harrington has been named as a first team Academic All-America selection by Capital One and the College Sports Information Directors of America. She becomes the 12th Capital One Academic All-American in school history, and becomes the first first team selection in 20 years. -

March 25, 2015Christopher Newport junior Lydia Cromwell and Mary Washington junior Taylor Cockerille were selected as the CAC Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week for March 25, 2015. Cromwell was named the CAC Track Athlete of the Week after finishing second among all competitors and first among Division III entrants in the 3000-meter steeplechase during the Tribe Invitational on Saturday. Cockerille earned CAC Field Athlete of the Week honors after winning both the shot put and discus at the Battleground Relays. -
UMW's Glenn Taylor Named CAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week
March 25, 2015Mary Washington sophomore Glenn Taylor earned CAC Track Athlete of the Week honors after winning 100 meter dash at the Battleground Relays last Friday. Taylor finished with a time of 10.82, which is the top time in the CAC and the second-fastest time in Division III so far this spring. -

UMW's Claire Harrington Named CAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week
January 20, 2015Christopher Newport senior Enuma Ezenwa and Mary Washington senior Claire Harrington were named the CAC Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week for Jan. 20, 2015. Ezenwa was named CAC Track Athlete of the Week after putting together several strong performances at the Liberty Open last weekend. Ezenwa posted the top time among non-Division I athletes in the 60-hurdles after finishing in 9.37 seconds, which ranks 25th in the nation this year. She also placed sixth in the 200 with a time of 27.59, helped the 4x400-relay team finish second in 4:17.67, and tied for third in the high jump after clearing 4'-11". Harrington was honored as the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after taking second in the women's pole vault at the Maryland Terrapin Invitational on Saturday in the Eagles' first meet of the year. Harrington posted a mark of 10'-10" to claim second place. Her vault ranks second in the CAC and 30th in the nation. -
