Five UMW Tennis Players Named to ITA All-Academic TeamJuly 11, 2014Three UMW women's tennis players and two men were named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's All-Academic Team on Thursday. Lindsay Raulston, Alex Ritter, and Mackenzie Smith were named from the women's team, and Evan Charles and David Lunding-Johansson were named from the men's team.

UMW Men Finish 15th Nationally in ITA Division III PollJune 11, 2014The University of Mary Washington men's tennis team finished the season ranked 15th in the nation among Division III schools after advancing to the NCAA Tournament third round and coming within one win of the school record with 21 victories.

Tyler Carey Named VaSID College Division Player of the Year, Helbling Named Coach of the Year as All-State Teams AnnouncedJune 10, 2014University of Mary Washington junior Tyler Carey (Moseley, Va.) has been named State College Division Player of the Year, UMW head coach Todd Helbling repeated as State Coach of the Year, and Virginia Wesleyan College freshman Kenney Downing (Washington, D.C.) gained state Rookie of the Year as the 2014 Virginia Sports Information Directors announced the College Division Men's Tennis teams on Friday.

UMW Men's, Women's Tennis Will Host NCAA Tournament Super Regional This WeekendMay 11, 2014Seven women's teams and five men's teams will compete this weekend in the first three rounds of the NCAA Tournament at the Battleground. The Mary Washington women will face Penn State-Behrend in the first round, while the men will face Wilkes in the second round. Dates and times are to be determined.

#16 Eagles Roll Past St. Mary's, 9-0, in CAC SemifinalApril 24, 2014The #16 Univeristy of Mary Washington men's tennis team defeated the Seahawks 9-0 on Wednesday. UMW won every match in straight sets on their way to the victory. David Lunding-Johansson led the Eagles on his birthday, winning both his singles and doubles matches. UMW improves to 19-5 on the year, and face Salisbury in the CAC Championship on Saturday.

Eagles Fall To Johns Hopkins, 8-1, on SaturdayApril 19, 2014The #16 University of Mary Washington men's tennis team closed out the regular season with an 8-1 loss at the hands of Johns Hopkins. The Blue Jays swept singles to win the match. UMW falls to 18-5 with the loss.

The Eagles won five of six singles matches, and two of three doubles matches en route to the win.
