Erin McVeigh is her first season with the UMW men’s and women’s swim programs as a volunteer assistant coach.

McVeigh graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. As a student-athlete at Eastern Connecticut State University, McVeigh specialized in mid-distance and distance freestyle as well as butterfly. Her senior year she was a team captain and also the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association conference runner-up in the 200 free her junior year. McVeigh still holds program records in the 200 free relay and 400 medley relay.

Prior to Mary Washington, McVeigh spent three seasons as the assistant coach for the Willamette University men's and women's swimming teams from 2018-2021. During her last season with Willamette, she coached the Bearcat swimmers to 6 program records, and 12 All-North West Conference times.

She is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. McVeigh also recently earned her Master of Science in Nutrition from Lamar University (Texas). 

Her hometown is Windsor, CT. She lives in Locust Grove with her fiancé, Andrew and dog Ronan.
