UMW Men Take 11th, Women 15th at NCAA Cross Country Regionals

The University of Mary Washington men's and women's cross country teams competed at the NCAA Division III South Regional Championship at Lee Hall Mansion in Newport News, Va., on Saturday. The Eagle men finished in 11th place among 24 schools, and the women placed 15th among 27 competing schools.

For the men, senior Patrick Murphy led the way with all-region honors, finishing in 17th place with a time of 26:31. Senior Nick Onorato finished 55th at 28:09, and sophomore Jacob Lohr finished 69th at 28:56. Freshman Luke Blair was 84th at 29:23, and senior Julian Burke finished with a time of  30:00, in 93rd place.

On the women's side, senior Grace Pippin finished in 61st place with a time of 26:14. Senior Teresa Guzman took 103rd at 27:55, and teammate Jessica Oberlies finished 104th at 27:58. Sophomore Julia Snow finished in 107th place at 28:06, and Amanda Morrisey took 116th at 28:53.
