UMW Men, Women Place 4th at C2C Cross Country Championships

The University of Mary Washington men's and women's cross country teams both competed at the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Championships in Salisbury, Md., with both teams finishing in fourth place.

The men claimed fourth place with 99 points. Senior Patrick Murphy led the charge for the Eagles, finishing in 12th place with a time of 25:17. Classmate Nick Onorato finished 14th at 25:33, and freshman Luke Blair finished 23rd at 26:54. Sophomore Jacob Lohr finished 24th at 26:58, and junior Julian Burke took 26th at 27:55.

On the women's side, the Eagles finished in fourth place as well, with 117 points. Junior Grace Pippin led the Eagles with a 17th place finish at 23.41. Sophomore Jessica Oberlies finished 23rd at 24:29, and junior Amanda Morrisey took 24th at 24:33. Senior Teresa Guzman finished 26th at 25:30, and freshman Enya Cea-Lavinfinished 27th at 26:07.

The Eagles will be back in action on November 12 at the NCAA Regionals in Newport News, Va., at 11:00 a.m.
