UMW Women 9th, Men 10th at NCAA Cross Country Regional

The University of Mary Washington women's cross country team finished in ninth place and the men took 10th at the 2021 NCAA South/Southeast Regional in Spartanburg, S.C. on Saturday.

The women finished with 251 points among the field of 24 schools. Senior Cameron Delan was the Eagles' top finisher, in 27th place at 24:01.3, and junior Grace Pippin finished 42nd at 24:30.8. Sophomore Kelly Young finished in 51st place at 24:57.0, freshman Jessica Oberlies took 64th at 25:22.6, and freshman Julia Kapp finished 67th at 25:32.1.

On the men's side, UMW finished 10th with 247 points among 23 competing schools. Senior Matthew O'Cadiz was the Eagles' top finisher, in 35th place at 26:53.2, and senior Nick Onorato finished 40th at 26:56.5. Senior Blake Mason took 53rd at 27:18.5, junior Patrick Brown was 59th at 27:35.6, and senior Justin Libman finished 60th at 27:36.0.
