UMW Men's XC Places Fourth at Don Cathcart Invite; Women Take Sixth

The University of Mary Washington men's cross country team finished fourth among 15 schools at the Don Cathcart Invitational in Salisbury, Md. on Saturday, while the women placed sixth among 18 schools.

The Eagle men saw Chris Marino finish 11th overall at 25:54, followed by Scott Plunkett in 13th at 26:04, Kyle Anderson in 33rd at 26:40, and Sean Healey in 38th at 26:50. Stephen Harrison rounded out the Eagles' top five in 52nd place at 27:10.

For UMW's women, freshman Liz Green finished eighth overall with a time of 22:34. Senior Kristy Witek finished 34th at 23:28, followed by Madalyn Crowell in 35th at 23:30, senior Sarah Dawes in 47th at 24:06, and Michaela Sands in 50th place at 24:15.

The Eagles will be back in action on October 9 at the DeSales Invitational.
