The University of Mary Washington men’s and women’s cross country teams each finished in first place among Division III competition at the Greensboro College Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

For the Eagle women, freshman Liz Green was the top finisher for the Eagles with a time of 20:01. Sarah Dawes was UMW’s next finisher, at 20:58, followed by Madalyn Crowell at 21:10.

For the UMW men, Scott Plunkett was UMW’s top finisher at 27:22, followed by Chris Marino at 27:37 and Kyle Anderson at 28:03.

Mary Washington will be back in action next Saturday at Salisbury University at 9:45 a.m.
