2003 Mary Washington College Men's Cross Country Season in Review

The young men's cross country team turned in a solid campaign in 2003, finishing in the top three in four of the seven races in which they competed. Included in that number was a pair of third place finishes at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational and the Dickinson College Invite, and a second place finish at the CAC Championships.

Overall, Mary Washington finished with an 81-24 overall record, and a 76-19 mark against Division III schools. The Eagles, led by all-region runners Matt Kirk and Todd Kronenberg, placed fourth at the NCAA regional race, their highest finish at regionals since 1999. With four all-conference runners returning for 2004, the Eagles will look to regain its grip on the CAC Championship and again challenge at the NCAA regionals.
