Jordan Lyons Named C2C Defensive Player of the Week

For the third time this season, Senior Jordan Lyons was named the Coast-to-Coast Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, per a release from the conference on Monday morning.

Lyons, a senior, led No. 21 Mary Washington to three victories this week, notching 55 digs (4.58 per set) in three Eagles victories.  She had 26 digs in five-set win over UC Santa Cruz and 22 digs in 3-1 victory versus Colorado College.  Lyons helped limit opponents to a .060 hitting percentage.  Also, she posted 28 kills for the week.

Senior Caitlyn Burch was named an honorable mention after hitting .383 for the week with 21 kills against just three errors in 47 attempts. She also recorded 14 blocks in the three matches. She posted seven kills against no errors in a 3-1 win over Colorado College, and then 12 kills in 21 attempts in a 3-2 win over Santa Cruz. She closed the week wih a pair of kills in nine attempts in a 3-0 win over the Banana Slugs.
