
For the second time this season and in back-to-back weeks, Senior Jordan Lyons was named the Coast-to-Coast conference's Defensive Player of the Week. On Saturday, she surpassed the 1,000-dig mark in a 3-0 win over Washington and Lee on Saturday. She scored 21 digs and added a solo block to go with 12 kills on the day. In a 3-1 win at Bridgewater, Lyons scored 11 digs, three block assists, and 11 kills in scoring 25.5 points with 4.57 digs per set on the week.
Lyons has been a major factor in UMW's 11-0 start to the season -- which is the best start in program history.
Emma Hadley was named as an honorable mention this week after she scored a .324 hitting average with 15 kills in the Eagles' pair of wins.
