University of Mary Washington junior volleyball standout Krista Rodgers (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) has been named as the Virginia Lottery Female Student-Athlete of the Month for October, 2021.

Rodgers led Mary Washington into the regional rankings with a 7-4 record in the month, with wins over regionally-ranked Virginia Wesleyan, Wittenberg, and SUNY Geneseo. She scored a career-high 19 kills at Lynchburg, and added 11 kills against Va. Wesleyan and 13 at Carnegie Mellon.

For the month, she scored 80 kills against just 17 errors in 192 attempts, good for a .328 hitting average. She added 35 total blocks, 23 digs, and eight service aces.
