The University of Mary Washington volleyball team swept 3-0 decisions from Marywood University and Marymount University on Saturday afternoon in Arlington, Va. Game scores were 25-7, 25-19, 25-17 against Marywood, and 27-25, 25-20, 25-20 against the host Saints.
In the Marywood match, sophomore Emma Hadley paced the Eagles with eight kills against no errors in 19 attempts, while junior Krista Rodgers had eight kills against one error in 13 attempts, and senior Olivia Casey, who also added eight kills. Freshman Lauren Foley scored 18 assists and junior Makenna Santinga added 11, and sophomore Jordan Lyons added five service aces and 13 digs.
Casey and Sarah Moore each added eight digs, and Hadley led with six block assists and Rodgers five.
The Eagles then faced Marymount, and came away with a 3-0 victory. Casey led the way with 15 kills against two erros in 31 attemptes, while Hadley continued her strong play with eight kills against three errors in 17 attempts. Lyons scored nine kills and a team-high 13 digs as well.
Santinga led with 19 assists, while Sarah Moore posted four assists, three aces, and 13 digs.
The Eagles will visit Bridgewater College on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.
