Mary Washington senior Emma Olson was named the CAC Volleyball Player of the Week after averaging 9.67 assists and 2.42 digs per game, helping the 14th-ranked Eagles to wins over Gallaudet and 18th-ranked Christopher Newport. Olson totaled 12 kills at a .385 clip to go with 116 assists, four service aces, three block assists, and 29 digs in a 2-1 week for the Eagles. She notched 44 assists and nine digs against both Gallaudet and CNU, and double-doubled with 28 assists and 11 digs in a 3-1 defeat to fourth-ranked Southwestern (Texas). The loss was just the second for the Eagles this season.

Mary Washington is ranked No. 14 and Christopher Newport is ranked No. 18 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 ... Mary Washington is the lone remaining unbeaten in CAC play at 5-0, while Salisbury (5-1) and Marymount (4-1) each have one loss. CNU (3-2) and St. Mary's (3-2) also have winning conference records with York (3-3) at .500 ... CNU freshman Riley Garrison registered a career-high 13 kills against Mary Washington on Friday and finished the week with a team-high .397 hitting percentage and 12 blocks during the week ... Junior Madelyn Torres posted 58 assists, 10 digs, five service aces and six blocks in a 1-1 week for Frostburg State. Junior Naya Cheatem registered 28 kills and 10 digs ... Penn State Harrisburg's Alexis Imler totaled 22 kills and 16 digs in a 0-3 week for the Lions ... Mimi Graf put forth a steady performance in a 1-1 week for St. Mary's. Graf averaged 11.71 assists, 7.5 points, 3.29 digs, and 0.71 blocks ... Salisbury's Nicole Venturelli helped the Sea Gulls to a 2-0 weekend earning victories over both Marymount and St. Mary's to climb into sole possession of second place in the CAC standings. Venturelli tallied a team-high and match-high in kills in both matches to help in the victories. Her 21 kills against St. Mary's is the second most she has recorded in a match this year coming up one short of her season best, 22, against Virginia Wesleyan. It is also the eighth and ninth time this season Venturelli has tallied double digit kills and is the second time she has recorded double digit kills in back-to-back matches ... Southern Virginia went 1-1 last week with a 3-2 defeat at York and a 3-0 sweep over Penn State Harrisburg. Penny Gwynn led the team in kills with 25. Gwynn ranks second on the team in kills per game and total kills this season.
