The University of Mary Washington volleyball team, fresh off its first-ever win over a nationally ranked opponent, moved closer to becoming ranked itself in the September 15 American Volleyball Coaches Association national Division III poll.
The Eagles gained 23 votes this week, ranking higher in the "also receiving votes" category than it did last week, when it picked up two votes. The Eagles finished 2-2 over the weekend at the ASICS/Juniata Invitational, and stand at 7-3 on the season.
