UMW Volleyball Edges Frostburg State in Five Sets in Wednesday CAC Action

Freshman Dani Fiore scored 22 kills, while freshmen Rachel Hendricks added 14 and Kyla Foss 13, as the University of Mary Washington volleyball team topped Frostburg State University in five sets in Capital Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night at the Anderson Center. The Eagles improve to 14-8 on the season.

The Eagles won the first set, 25-14, but fell in the second, 25-21, and 25-22 in the third. The Eagles responded by winning the fourth, 25-19, and 15-13 in the fifth.

Fiore scored 22 kills, five aces, and six digs, while Hendricks had 14 kills and Foss had 13 kills and 11 digs. Emma Olson had 54 assists and 14 digs for the Eagles, while Jenna Yost led with 20 digs.

The Eagles will return to action on Saturday when they host Salisbury University in CAC action starting at 1:00 p.m.
