UMW Volleyball Falls at Frostburg in CAC Championship
The University of Mary Washington volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at Frostbuirg State University on Saturday in the 2010 Capital Athletic Conference championship. Game scores were 25-12, 25-23, 25-11; the Eagles end their season with a record of 19-9.

Frostburg dominated game one before the Eagles pushed the Bobcats in the second, falling 25-23. FSU gained control early and never let up in game three, winning the CAC title in their first year in the league.

The Eagles were led by Hannah Lawson (Charlottesville, Va., Albemarle)'s seven kills and Laura Gomez (Charlottesville, Va., Albemarle)'s five kills and four blocks. Karissa Herrick (Colts Neck, N.J., Colts Neck) had four blocks, Katie Shiflett (Weyers Cave, Va., Fort Defiance) had 19 assists, and Kaitlynn Wickersham (Midlothian, Va., Manchester) had eight digs for UMW.
