Sophomore hitter Laura Gomez (Charlottesville, Va., Albemarle) had eleven kills and freshman Hannah Lawson (Charlottesville, Va., Albemarle) added ten to lead the University of Mary Washington volleyball team to a 3-0 win at Marymount University on Wednesday night. Game scores were 29-27, 25-20, 25-23.

Junior setter Katie Shiflett (Weyers Cave, Va., Fort Defiance) had 27 assists for the Eagles, while Lawson had 11 digs. Karissa Herrick (Colts Neck, N.J., Colts Neck) had four blocks and junior Leslie Truesdale (Vienna, Va., Oakton) added three service aces for UMW, who improves to 18-7 on the year.

The Eagles will close the regular season on Saturday at Johns Hopkins University at 10:00 a.m.
