UMW Volleyball Outlasts St. Mary's in CAC Match
The University of Mary Washington volleyball team won a dramatic five-game match at St. Mary's College on Thursday evening to improve to 15-7 overall and 4-2 in Capital Athletic Conference action. Game scores were 18-25, 18-25, 25-22, 25-20, 15-11.

For the Eagles, junior Tola Adebanjo (Overland Park, Ks., Blue Valley Northwest) led the way with 18 kills and 15 digs, while freshman Hannah Lawson (Charlottesville, Va., Albemarle) added 12 kills, five aces, and 13 digs. Laura Gomez (Charlottesville, Va., Albemarle) had five kills and two aces, junior Katie Shiflett (Weyers Cave, Va., Fort Defiance) added 45 assists and 10 digs, and Kaitlynn Wickersham (Midlothian, Va., Manchester) added 27 digs and two aces. Karissa Herrick (Colts Neck, N.J., Colts Neck) had 11 kills for UMW.

The Eagles will host Lynchburg College on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the final regular season home match of the season. The match will also culminate the Eagles' Dig Pink event for breast cancer awareness.
