The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to #18 Carnegie Mellon University on Saturday at the Hegmann Family Complex. The Eagles slip to 6-6 on the season.
UMW fell in all three doubles. Amanda Hagino and Hana Kimmey fell at one, 8-4, and Emily Beckner and Addison Felts fell, 8-1, at two. Jacey Copeland and Linda Dimitroff dropped an 8-6 decision at three.
In singles, Dimitroff gained the Eagles' point with a 5-7, 6-3, 10-7 win at five singles.
The Eagles will return to action next Saturday when they host Christopher Newport University at 2:00 p.m.
