#23 UMW Women's Tennis Tops #48 Gustavus Adolphus, 6-3

The 23rd ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated 48th ranked Gustavus Adolphus College, 6-3, on Wednesday afternoon at the UMW Indoor Tennis Center. The Eagles improve to 5-5 on the season.

UMW started strong at the top of doubles, as number one duo Amanda Hagino and Hana Kimmey defeaed Allison Szalay and Molly Austin, 8-2, and Emily Beckner and Addison Felts topped Kaya DeBruijn and Bethany Smith at two, 8-2.

The Eagles then gained four singles wins, led by Hagino at one over Szalay, 6-4, 6-3. Kimmey defeaed Alli Laux, 6-0, 6-4, at two, Felts stopped Austin at three, 6-4, 6-3, and Riley Smitth defeated Madison Packer at six, 6-1, 6-2.

The Eagles will be back in action on Friday when they host Haverford College at 4:00 p.m.
