The 26th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to 15th ranked Tufts University on Monday afternoon at the Hegmann Family Tennis Complex. The Eagles slip to 3-4 on the season.
The Eagles scored a win at one doubles, as Amanda Hagino and Hana Kimmey scored an 8-3 win over Zoe Kava and Rebecca Lim. The Jumbos took an 8-6 win at two, and an 8-2 win at three.
In singles, UMW dropped each of the six matches, with several going to tiebreakers. At two, Kimmey fell, 7-6, 1-6, 16-14, and at three Addison Felts fell, 3-6, 6-3, 10-8.
The Eagles will return to action on Saturday when they host Southwestern University (Tx.) at 10:00 a.m.
