
The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision at Swarthmore College in a matchup of nationally-ranked opponents on Sunday in Swarthmore, Pa. The Eagles slip to 2-1 on the season.
UMW fell behind in doubles, dropping matches at one and three. The Eagles' point came from Addison Felts and Emily Beckner, who scored an 8-1 win.
In singles, the Eagles gained victories from Felts at three (6-1, 6-2), and from senior Riley Smith at six, 6-4, 6-4.
The Eagles will return to action next Sunday when they visit Chapman University at 2:00 p.m.
