The 27th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated Washington College, 7-2, on Saturday in the spring lidlifter at the UMW Indoor Tennis Center.
Play opened with doubles, and the all-region duo of Hana Kimmey and Amanda Hagino were victorious at one, 8-1. Senior Riley Smith and sophomore Linda Dimitroff won at two, 8-2.
In singles, the Eagles gained wins from Addison Felts at one, 6-0, 6-0, Alexandra Jaksec at three, 6-3, 4-6, 10-7, and Olivia Geoghegan at four, 2-6, 6-2, 11-9. UMW gained walkover wins at six singles and three doubles.
The Eagles will be back in action next Saturday at Swarthmore, facing Vassar at 10:00 a.m.
