#34 UMW Women's Tennis Falls at #11 Carnegie Mellon on Saturday

The 34th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision at 11th ranked Carnegie Mellon University on Saturday morning in Pittsburgh. The Eagles slip to 5-7 on the season.

UMW dropped the doubles matches, with Amanda Hagino and Hana Kimmey falling at one, 8-4, Abby Moghtader and Rebecca Stepleman falling at two, 8-4, and Riley Smith and Emily Beckner falling at three, 8-3.

Moghtader fell at one singles, 6-4, 6-3, Hagino dropped a 6-2, 7-5 match at two, and Kimmey fell at three, 7-5, 6-4. Stepleman fell at four in three sets, 6-3, 4-6, 6-0, Beckner fell at five, 8-3, and Smith dropped an 8-3 decision at six.

The Eagles will be back in action on Thursday when they visit Christopher Newport University at 1:30 p.m.
