The 21st ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to #31 Skidmore College on Friday evening at the Hegmann Family Tennis Courts. The Eagles slip to 3-4 on the season.
UMW gained a victory at one doubles, as Amanda Hagino and Hana Kimmey were victorious at one, 8-4, but fell at two and three, and trailed entering singles, 2-1.
The lone victory for the Eagles came from Kimmey at three, as she scored a 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over Katherin Almquist. UMW battled, as four of the six singles matches were extended to third sets.
UMW will host 15th ranked Trinity (Tx.) on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
