The 14th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to 12th ranked Case Western Reserve on Sunday morning in Lexington, Va. The Eagles slip to 1-1 on the season.
The Eagles fell behind in doubles play, sropping all three matches, before splitting the six singles matches.
Senior Amanda Hagino claimed a victory at two singles over nationally ranked Lily McCloskey, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6, freshman Rebecca Stepleman won at four, 7-5, 6-4, and junior Emily Beckner won at five, 6-3, 6-3.
The Eagles will be back in action on March 27 when they visit Chapman University at 1:00 p.m.
