The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team opened the 2022-23 season this weekend in Annapolis, Md., at the Naval Academy's Bill and Sandra Moore Invitational.

The Eagles picked up three doubles victories, with Abby Mghtader and Rebecca Stepleman recording a pair of wins. Emily Beckner and Hana Kimmey also scored a win. In singles, Beckner gained a win in the C flight main bracket.

UMW will host the ITA regional tournament on September 23-25, with play starting each day at 8 a.m.
