#27 UMW Women's Tennis Edges Division II Flagler, 5-4, in St. Augustine, Fla.

The 27th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team faced its toughest challenge of the season thus far, but came away with a 5-4 win at Flagler College on Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles improve to 6-0 on the season.

After winning at one doubles and three doubles, UMW gained wins from Alex Ritter at three singles and Mackenzie Smith at six, and the match stood at 4-4 with freshman Shelby Harris still on. Harris won in three sets, 6-4, 1-6, 7-5, for the clinching win. Earlier in the day, the freshman was honored as the CAC Player of the Week.

UMW will return to action on March 15 when they host Frostburg State Universityat 4:00 p.m.
