University of Mary Washington tennis players Kaz Murata (Nashville, Tenn., Saddlebrook Prep (Fla.)) and Sam Wichlin (Ellicott City, Md., Mt. Hebron) and women's assistant coach Art Canizares have been honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Murata was named the Atlantic South Region's Arthur Ashe Leadership and Scholarship award winner, and Wichlin was named the Atlantic South's "Player to Watch" award winner. Canizares gained the Atlantic South Women's Assistant Coach of the Year award.
