UMW Women's Swim Blows Out Catholic, 199-63

The Mary Washington women's swim team had little trouble handling Catholic on Saturday afternoon as it took down the Cardinals, 199-63, at Goolrick Nataorium in Fredericksburg, Va.

Individuals:

Ashley Dyer took home first place in the women's 1000 yard freestyle (11:07.66).

Marina Klein finished second in the 1000 yard freestyle (11:21.08) and second in the 200 yard butterfly (2:20.17).

Bridget Zagrobelny finished first in the 200 yard freestyle (2:02.28) and the 500 yard freetyle (5:28.14).

Megan Kim finished second in the 200 yard freestyle (2:02.90) and 500 yard freestyle (5:32.66)

Phoebe Root took home the gold in the 100 yard backstroke (1:00.88) and 200 yard backstroke (2:11.86).

Kinsey Brooks continued her dominance as she finished first in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:06.56), 200 yard breaststroke (2:27.17), and 200 yard IM (2:12.79).

Peyton Lawrence finished third in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:13.88).

Bri Wilson took home first place in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:15.82 and 100 yard butterfly (1:00.60)

Margie Jones won the 50 yard freestyle (25.79) and the 100 yard freestyle (55.89).

Ann Karr finished third in the 50 free (26.32) and second in the 100 free (57.85).

Relays:

Root, Zagrobelny, Wilson and Karr finished first in the 200 yard medlay relay (1:51.54).

Jones, Wilson, Klein and Brooks won the 400 yard freestyle relay to cap off Saturday's meet with a time of 3:46.41.
