Junior Kinsey Brooks has been named as the March winner of the Virginia Lottery UMW Femae Athlete of the Month. 

Brooks shined at the NCAA Division III Swimming Championships, gaining three All-America honors in accumulating enough points as an individual to finish in 21st place in the team competition. She finished third in the 100 yard breaststroke, with a time of 1:01.51. She took sixth in the 200 yard individual medley, with a time of 2:02.02, and took 10th in the 200 yard breaststroke, at 2:16.18.

In two seasons, Brooks is a six-time All-American, and two-time METS Conference Swimmer of the Year.
