UMW Women's Swimmers Tops Catholic, 138-123, on Saturday

The University of Mary Washington women's swim team defeated Catholic University, 138-123, on Saturday afternoon in Washington, D.C. The Eagles improve to 7-1 on the season.

UMW opened with a victory in the 400 yard medley relay, by Kinsey Brooks, Bridget Zagrobelny, Bridget Wilson, and Thalia Costanza, at 4:05.30, and followed with wins from Brooks in the 100 yard backstroke at 59.12, Costanza in the 100 yard breaststroke at 1:10.06, and Margie Jones in the 200 yard freestyle at 2:13.14.

Brooks then won the 200 breaststroke at 2:25.21, Jones claimed the 100 butterfly at 1:00.54, and Brooks captured the 200 yard IM at 2:15.50. 

The Eagles will be back in action on Friday when they visit Marymount University at 4:00 p.m.
