UMW Women's Swimming Tops Randolph-Macon, 156-105, on Saturday

The University of Mary Washington women's swimming team defeated Randolph-Macon College on Saturday, 156.5-105.5, to improve to 2-1 on the season.

UMW opened with a win in the 400 yard medley relay, as Kinsey Brooks, Thalia Costanza, Rose McMullen and Ashley Dyer touched first at 4:09.43. Amber Candido finished first in the 200 free at 2:02.82, Brooks won the 100 backstroke at 1:01.32, and Bridget Zagrobelny won the 100 breastsroke at 1:09.77.

Bridget Wilson won the 200 butterfly at 2:15.86, Dyer won the 200 breaststroke at 2:33.11, and Candido claimed the 500 free at 5:28.68. Brooks won the 100 butterfly at 59.51, and the 200 free relay of Brooks, Dyer, Jenny Thompson, and Megan Kim won with a time of 1:44.58.

The Eagles will return to action on Friday when they visit Franklin & Marshall College at 5:30 pm, along with York College of PA.
