UMW Women's Swim Team Ranks First at Metro Championships With One Day Left

The University of Mary Washington women's swimming team stands in first place with one day of events remaining. 

On Saturday at finals, the 200 free relay of Kinsey Brooks, Sydney Hall, Thalia Costanza, and Anna Watson finished second at 1:35.66. Jenny Thompson finished third in the 400 yard IM at 4:34.97, and Delaney Humphrey was fifth at 4:40.19. Margie Jones was second in the 100 yard butterfly at 57.24. 

Ashley Dyer was second in the 200 freestyle at 1:55.80, and Brooks won the 100 breaststroke at 1:02.10. Phoebe Root finished third in the 100 backstroke at 59.53, and the 400 medley relay finished first at 3:53.09. That relay consisted of Root, Brooks, Jones, and Costanza.

The championships will conclude on Sunday.
