UMW Women's Swimming Dominates Day Two of CAC Championships

The University of Mary Washington women's swimming team continued its excellence in the first full day of action at the 2020 Capital AThletic Conference Championships on Thursday at St. Mary's College. The Eagles stand with 342 points, 102 points ahead of second place York College.

Julia Geskey opened the night with a win in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:05.86, and sophomore Grace Nicolai followed with a win in the 200 yard IM, at 2:09.66, as the Eagles finished 1-2-3. Freshman Thalia Costanza took first in the 50 yard sprint at 24.62, and the 200 yard free relay of Costanza, Grace Gartman, Carley Vaughn, and Sydney Hall finished first with a time of 1:37.55.

The meet will continue on Friday.
