The University of Mary Washington women's swim team stands in second place after day one of the Franklin & Marshall College Invitational in Lancaster, Pa. The Eagles have 401 points, behind only Washington & Lee (479), among 11 competing schools.

Julia Geskey finished in fourth place in the 500 yard freestyle at 5:12.64, and Jenny Thompson took third in the 200 yard individual medley, at 2:10.62. The 200 yard freestyle relay of Thalia Costanza, Grace Gartman, Carley Vaughn, and Sydney Hall finished third at 1:38.38.

The meet will continue through the weekend.
