UMW Women's Swimming Tops York, 196-66, on Saturday

The University of Mary Washington women's swimming team remained unbeaten in Capital Athletic Conference action on Saturday, topping York College, 196-66, in York, Pa.

The Eagles opened the meet with a win from Carley Vaughn, Mary Zagrobelny, Erin Whitesell and Sydney Hall in the 200 medley relay at 1:49.61. Claudia Keller won the 1000 freestyle at 10:56.28, Julia Geskey won the 200 free at 1:58.86, and Zagrobelny won the 100 breaststroke at 1:08.11. 

Whitesell captured the 200 fly at 2:14.34, Hall won the 50 free at 25.12, and then also captured the 100 free at 54.65. Zagrobelny then won the 200 breast at 2:29.33, Keller won the 500 free at 5:23.66, and Whitesell took the 100 fly at 58.57. 

Jenny Thompson won the 200 IM at 2:16.93, and the 200 free relay of Grace Gartman, Geskey, Vaughn, and Thalia Costanza took first at 1:41.93.

The Eagles will return to action next weekend as they compete in the Franklin & Marsall Invitational.
