Mary Washington freshman Julia Geskey was selected as the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week after winning three events to help the Eagles defeat Gettysburg on Saturday. Geskey was the leadoff swimmer on the winning 200-yard medley relay that finished with a time of 1:51.38, and followed with individual wins in the 1,000-yard freestyle at 10:59.61 and the 200-yard backstroke at 2:12.04.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE
All six CAC women's swimming teams were in action last week ... The CAC Championships are just a month away, set for Feb. 17-19 at St. Mary's ... Frostburg State junior Macie Nitchie was perfect on the afternoon in a meet with Penn State Altoona and Bethany (W.Va.). Nitchie She won both the 200-yard freestyle (2:02.80) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:08.05), and was also joined by Emily Turner, Maddie Weinberger and Elizabeth Myers for a victory in the in the 200-yard medley relay to open the afternoon in 2:00.16 ... York sophomore Maddy Mann led the Spartans in a split with Marymount and Washington & Lee on Saturday in York. Mann picked up York's lone victory as she earned a win in the 200 IM with a time of 2:17.99. Mann also placed second in the 500 freestyle. She leads the Spartans in wins this season with 19 individual victories and also has seven runner-up finishes.
