
The University of Mary Washington women's swim team defeated St. Mary's College on Saturday in Capital Athletic Conference action in St. Mary's City, Md. UMW improves to 5-1 on the year.
Victors for the Eagles included the 200 medley relay, in which UMW finished 1-2-4-5, Megan Murphy in the mile at 18:25.25, Anna Corley in the 200 freestyle at 2:00.09, Maddy Rymer in the 100 backstroke at 1:03.22, Sara Dye Dye in the 100 breastsroke at 1:10.79, and Carley Vaughn in the 200 butterfly at 2:11.36.
Other winners included Shannon Coryell in the 50 freestyle at 24.93, Corley in the 100 free at 55.29, Kaylie Benson in the 200 back at 2:19.05, McKinzie Turner in the 200 breast at 2:37.67, Lauren Wood in the 500 freestyle at 5:27.03, Coryell in the 100 fly at 1:00.52, Corley in the 400 IM at 4:44.24, and the 200 free relay at 1:42.26.
The Eagles will return to action on Thursday when they host Salisbury University at 4 p.m.
