Coryell Repeats as CAC Swimmer of the Week; Farrar and Corley Named Collegeswimming.com Swimmers of the Week

Mary Washington senior Shannon Coryell was named the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week for the second straight week after turning in the top times in the conference in the 500 freestyle and 100 butterfly in dual meet victory over Marymount last week. Coryell won the 50 freestyle (24.91) and the 100 butterfly (59.77) with the top times in the conference and 52nd and 38th-best marks nationally, respectively. She was also a member of the winning 200 medley relay at 1:52.30 and the 200 freestyle relay at 1:42.09. 

In addition, senior Anna Corley and freshman Austin Farrar were named Collegeswimming.com Conference swimmers of the week following their results from the same meet. Farrar won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:47.31, and the 500 freestyle at 4:52.04. Both times are the fastest in our conference this year, while also placing 92nd and 51st in the nation, respectively. Corley came in second in the 100 breaststroke, finishing at 1:11.28, and won both the 200 back (2:11.98) and 200 IM (2:13.72). Her 200 IM time places her 39th nationally and her 200 back is 42nd. Corley was also on the winning 200 medley relay.
