UMW Women's Swimming Tops Marymount, 155-76, in Saturday CAC Tilt

The University of Mary Washington women's swim team defeated Marymount University, 155-76, on Saturday afternoon in Capital Athletic Conference action in Arlington, Va. The Eagles improve to 3-0 on the season.

Winners for the Eagles included the 200 medley relay of Carley Vaughn, Anna Corley, Kait Luncher, and Shannon Coryell at 1:52.30, Julia Geksey in the 1000 freestyle at 11:05.0, Maysa Kuykendall in the 200 free at 1:59.70, Vaughn in the 100 backstroke at 1:00.15, and Sara Dye in the 100 breaststroke at 1:09.47.

Erin Whitesell took first in the 200 fly at 2:20.10, Coryell won the 50 free at 24.91, Kuykendall won the 100 free at 55.39, Corley won the 200 back at 2:11.98, Dye won the 200 breast at 2:32.09, Hailee Morse won the 500 free at 5:38.77, Coryell won the 100 fly at 59.77, Corley won the 200 IM at 2:13.72, and the 200 free relay of Luncher, Geksey, Vaughn and Coryell finished first at 1:42.09.

The Eagles will return to action on Friday when they visit Johns Hopkins University with Franklin and Marshall College at 6 p.m.
