UMW Women's Swimmers Continue to Dominate at CAC Championships

The University of Mary Washington women's swim team moved closer to its 26th consecutive Capital Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday, with another outstanding performance.

The Eagles started the evening with a conference and meet record first place swim in the 200 yard medley relay, as Katie Fago, Anna Corley, Hannah Hagy, and Steph Hallock took first at 1:45.37. Megan Murphy finished first in the 400 IM at 4:31.93, and Hagy finished first in the 100 fly at 57.04, with Shannon Coryell taking second.

Anna Corley won the 100 yard backstroke at 1:05.55, with Hagy finishing second, and Fago won the 100 backstroke at 58.31, with Taylor Mooney finishing second.

The 800 yard free relay closed the night with a new meet and conference record win, with Hallock, Corley, Michaela Miller, and Ashley Walnut finishing at 7:41.59.

The championships will close on Sunday.
