
The University of Mary Washington women's swimming team defeated Frostburg State University and Franciscan University on Friday night in Frostburg, downing the Bobcats, 99-23, and Franciscan, 105-14. UMW moves to 4-0 on the year.
Winners for the Eagles included the 200 meter relay of Taylor Mooney, Hannah Hagy, Shannon Coryell, and Steph Hallock at 2:05.36, Abby Cox in the 800 freestyle at 9:47.59, Emily Adams in the 200 freestyle at 2:13.26, Mooney in the 50 backstroke at 32.47, Kait Luncher in the 100 butterfly at 1:10.21, Hallock in the 50 freestyle at 27.72 and the 100 freestyle at 1:01.33; Maddy Rymer in the 100 backstroke at 1:11.03; Ashley Walnut in the 400 freestyle at 4:55.17; Coryell in the 50 butterfly at 30.39; Cox in the 100 IM at 1:11.45; and the 400 free relay of Hagy, Adams, Luncher, and Walnut at 4:14.64.
The Eagles will host Randolph-Macon tomorrow at 1 p.m.
