Mary Washington junior Katie Fago was selected as the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week after helping the Eagles to a 134-128 victory over Gettysburg on Saturday. Fago won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 57.50, which eclipsed a new school record and also was an NCAA qualifying time. She was also the backstroke leg of the 200 medley relay which won with a time of 1:50.15.

In CAC action last week, St. Mary's topped Salisbury 143-118 and Marymount edged out York 104-101 ... Frostburg State freshman Macey Nitchie broke a 31-year old school record against Davis & Elkins Friday. Nitchie's first-place time of 1:59.98 in the 200 freestyle broke a 31-year old school record of 2:01.00 ... Marymount's Casey Thomas touched first in both the 200 freestyle (2:03.91) and 100 freestyle (55.57) to help the Saints past York (Pa.) on Saturday ... Cara Machlin led St. Mary's to a win in its CAC regular-season at Salisbury with four gold medals, two individually and two in relays ... York freshman Kacey Banks won the 200 butterfly (2:20.55) and the 500 freestyle (5:43.42).
